About us
We are a piano trio formed at the Schulich School of Music in Montreal, united by our shared love for chamber music. We value intense musical engagement and constant communication, both on stage and in rehearsal. We strive to honour the composer's intentions while allowing ourselves the freedom to be emotionally vulnerable, sharing our interpretations openly and directly with every listener.
Each of us comes from a different part of the world and speaks a different language, yet we are united by a musical language that transcends words. Our name, Timia, comes from the Greek for "honesty"; in Korean, it playfully echoes a phrase meaning "we are a team."
